Why do I need an event coordinator?
Any event, no matter how small, needs someone to "run the show". Usually, the host is responsible for overseeing set-up, vendors, timelines, and clean-up. It's hard to do all that AND enjoy the party!
A "day of" event coordinator runs the party for you. They are working from set-up through breakdown. They answer questions, direct traffic, and oversee event operations to ensure that everything is carried out according to your wishes.
My mom offered to be my event coordinator, should I still use your services?
The answer is: yes, absolutely! Your (insert important person) is probably going to be a guest at your event. If you want them to enjoy the party with you, don't ask them to do all that work. Ask the person to help you with the planning, but leave the event execution to the professionals.
What's the difference between a planner & coordinator?
An event planner assists with all aspects of event planning. They are heavily involved in the decision-making process and offer guidance as you go through the planning process. Their pricing reflects their level of involvement and usually starts in the low thousands.
An event coordinator is not as involved in the decision-making process. They may offer some basic planning or organization advice, but their primary responsibilities are to execute the event according to your plan. Their pricing can range from several hundred to a few thousand dollars, depending on level of involvement.
